Sierra Tugs

Commercial Aviation.

Built for the Ramp. Trusted by Operators Moving Up to 99,000 LBS.

One Tug, Category Selection, Zero Guesswork

Select the aircraft weight category and Sierra calibrates the safe power output to match.

The Sierra Series was built for operators who can’t afford to guess. Every Sierra tug ships with aircraft-specific software calibrated to your fleet, continuous torque monitoring through Torq Sense™, and Auto Throttle protection that adjusts power output in real time — so nose gear stress never becomes a liability conversation.

What sets Sierra apart on a commercial ramp is the optional touchscreen controls with employee ID-based access, GPS tracking, and data logging on every move. When something happens on the ramp, you have the record.

Built for the People Who Run It.

Real-time protection for the aircraft and passive protection for the operator is what separates this commercial-grade tug from others

Torq Sense / Auto throttle

Fully automated power outputs for maximum nose gear protection.

The Sierra series of commercial tugs monitor nose gear torque in real time, making 100 decisions per second and adjusting power output instantly. When force approaches the safe limit for the specific aircraft type being towed, the tug throttles back automatically, before the operator can react and before damage occurs. This feature combined with load category selection makes Sierra the most advanced commercial electric tug on the market.

Designed for Any Operator

The optional touchscreen and dead mans switch minimize human error

Every Sierra ships standard with manual weight category selection that is simple, reliable, ready to go. Upgrade to the optional touchscreen and Sierra becomes aircraft-aware with smart loading that applies the exact torque and lift height specific to the aircraft you’ve selected, a wheel direction indicator keeps operators oriented, and every move is logged. It’s the difference between a tug that moves aircraft and one that’s calibrated to each one individually.

Wing Walker With a Stop Switch

ETSO puts real-time control in the hands of your ground crew.

Miscommunication on the ramp isn’t a minor risk — it’s how a $2 million aircraft ends up scraped against a wall or another plane. ETSO gives wing walkers a one-press remote stop, backed by encrypted, fail-safe communication, so any member of your crew can halt a move instantly from a safe distance. No training manual required, simply pick up and go.

Engineered for the Long Haul.

Purpose-built commercial ground support equipment from Spanish Fork, Utah — designed by pilots who move aircraft for a living.

Additional Standard & Premium Options

Configure your Sierra for the specific operation demands. Premium upgrades include Inverter GPU, Jump Start GPU, Touch Screen, Air Compressor, Directional lights, storage compartments and full weatherproofing

Inverter GPU

Onboard AC power for maintenance equipment and avionics ground support — without a separate power cart.

Jump Start GPU

Integrated jump start capability delivers the amperage to get dead aircraft moving again without outside equipment.

Air Compressor

Built-in compressor for tire inflation and pneumatic tools — one tug handles more of your ramp operations.

Heli Lift

Helicopter-specific adapter for safe, precise positioning of rotorcraft in tight hangar configurations.

EZ Load

Hands-free nose gear engagement loads your aircraft automatically — no manual lifting, no back strain, no connection errors.

Lazy Susan

360-degree rotating turntable platform for precise aircraft positioning — ideal for tight hangars where standard towing clearance isn’t available.

The Commercial Standard for Aircraft Ground Handling

Four configurations. One intelligent platform. Built to protect aircraft, operators, and your operation — every shift, every move.

Choose Your Model

All Six models share the same core technology that includes Torq Sense, Auto throttle, load category selection, ETSO, floating platform, and low profile prop safe design. Upgrade to touch screen to unlock plane-specific loading software and data logging system. Select the model that matches your heaviest regular aircraft.
